Shida Bazyar


Shida Bazyar, born in Hermeskeil in 1988, studied literary writing in Hildesheim before moving to Berlin to lead a double life. She spends half the day advising young people spending a gap year as environment volunteers in Brandenburg, and the rest of her time she spends writing. Her first novel was recognized with the Culture Prize awarded to young artists by the Lutheran Church in Hanover, the Bloggers’ Prize for Literature, the Ulla Hahn Authors’ Award, and in 2017 with the Uwe Johnson Prize for young writers.
