Jörg Schindler

Jörg Schindler, born in Darmstadt in 1968, studied German studies, English studies and sociology in Frankfurt am Main and Edinburgh. He formerly worked as a news editor and reporter for the “Frankfurter Rundschau”, since 2012 he works for the news magazine “SPIEGEL”, where he is responsible for the subjects of terrorism and domestic security. In 2009, he received the Wächter Award for investigative journalism together with his colleague Matthias Thieme, and received the Henri Nannen Award for best investigative achievement in 2014 along with several SPIEGEL editors for articles on the NSA scandal.
